NOTES FROM THE MANUFACTURER

“Fat Bikes have come a long way since we developed the world's first production aluminum fat bike in 2009. But one thing has remained constant, 9:ZERO:7 has been on the forefront in fat bike technology from the beginning. The NEW 2023 9:ZERO:7 Tundra is a perfect example of that.

Taking the same race proven geometry from our carbon Lynx, but using aluminum tubing, we are able to deliver winning performance in a more budget friendly package.

The slack 69 degree head tube combined with the shorter 450mm chainstays keeps the handling quick yet maintains the low speed stability that 9:ZERO:7 is known for. In addition to the 2023 geometry, the Tundra gets stealth dropper post cable routing to further improve its aggressive terrain capabilities. Whether its racing the Iditarod Trail, surviving the Skeleton Coast in Namibia, or shredding local singletrack, the 9:ZERO:7 Tundra is truly a bike for #AllConditions.”

TUNDRA CUSTOM BUILD OPTIONS

Note : RideFATbikes.ca builds all TUNDRA bikes from the frame up. We make performance modifications to the 9:ZERO:7 factory “stock” builds, which does increase the overall price, but offers many performance enhancements :

  • Weight savings of 2-6 lbs (over stock MFG builds)

  • Reduction of Q-Factor from 212 to 205 (when carbon cranksets are selected)

  • All wheelsets and tires converted to Tubeless

  • Brakesets are upgraded to 4-piston options

  • Rotors are increased in size for better stopping power

  • Mastodon PRO Suspension are now additional options

  • Premium tires (both studded and non-studded) are now options

  • Many alloy parts can be swapped out for carbon versions to save weight and add vibration damping (handlebars, seat posts, etc.)

  • Drivetrains and chainlines are converted from the “stock” FAT4 to FAT5 configuration, to maximum tire options and floatation.

  • SRAM Eagle Cassettes are upgraded from 10-50t to 10-52t gearing.

  • All models start at the baseline groupsets of GX Eagle 12spd, instead of entry-level NX. (saves weight, better shifting, better gearing, more future upgrade paths, and freehubs are upgraded on all wheelsets from Shimano HG10 to SRAM XD Driver)

  • The TUNDRA has serious potential as an alloy Fat Bike, and we feel these upgrades noticeably improve the overall ride quality, performance and weight reduction of the finished product.
